Mathematical Modeling, Mathematical Cognition, & Meaningful Education Advocate

About Me

My current research focuses on undergraduate mathematics majors' sense-making in introductory proof courses. I examine students' mathematics from cognitive, discursive, and quantitative lenses.

I have concurrent interests in mathematics education policy, student retention in STEM fields, the mathematical education of future teachers, mathematics education from PreK through graduate study, quantum cognition, neural networks, and computational/mathematical biology.
